Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, the cast of The Vampire Diaries is on the cover of Nylon. For February.

The photoshoot is in the gallery as well as a sneek of the cover. Scans will be added when we can find them.

Love Hurts

Up all night with the cast of Vampire Diaries.

Those well acquainted with Serena and Little J may find this fact hard to believe: Vampire Diaries, The CW’s budding show about bloodsuckers and the teen girls who love and / or get eaten by them, has double the number of Gossip Girl viewers.

What makes it such a hit? It could be the current cultural zeitgeist of Edward, Bella, Sookie, Bill, and immortal drama. It could be the lingering teen appeal of star Nina Dobrev (remember her from Degrassi?). Or maybe it’s just damn fun and funny.

Vampire Diaries Lures Mia Kirshner

Posted on Dec 21, 2009 • Filed under: Vampire Diaries — admin @ 3:06 pm

Here’s proof that the TV biz hasn’t completely closed up shop for the holidays: L Word and 24 alum Mia Kirshner has just inked a deal to join the cast of The Vampire Diairies on a recurring basis, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Kirshner will be playing the role of Isobel, the sweet-yet-dangerous wife of Matt Davis’ history teacher, Alaric.

The actress will make her debut in the Jan. 21 episode, which, come to think of it, has already been shot. How will VD boss Kevin Williamson pull that one off? “Ever hear of an 11th hour reshoot,” sniffs an insider. “That’s what they’re doing.” There’s no reason to be nasty about it.

Vampire Diaries Casting

Vampire Diaries: The CW has confirmed to us that Kelly Hu is the latest lucky bitc…er, fine actress to cozy up to the brothers Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley). Kelly just tweeted: “1st time in Atlanta 2 shoot Vampire Diaries. Thot I was going to get mugged on the way home from Whole Foods. That’s ok, I know karate.” Nice! Kelly will be appearing in flashbacks as an apothecary named Pearl, but contrary to other reports, she doesn’t go door to door and accidentally try to sell vervain to Katherine (Nina Dobrev). We’ll first see her on Jan. 28.

The CW recently interviewed Nina Dobrev who plays Elena Gilbert on their new hit vampire show, The Vampire Diaries, which is originally based on a popular book series that holds the same title. She started off by describing a little bit about her character on the show. She goes on to explain the premise of the show in great detail.

Vampire Diaries Ratings: They Don’t Suck!

Posted on Sep 11, 2009 • Filed under: Vampire Diaries — admin @ 3:45 pm

Vampire Diairies drew an impressive 4.84 million viewers in its debut last night, making it The CW’s most-watched premiere ever (even beating 90210 last year). Among females 18-34 (a.k.a. The CW’s sweet spot), it notched a strong 3.1 rating.

Preliminary ratings suggest the fifth season premiere of Supernatural didn’t fare as well, drawing (a still decent) 3.4 million viewers.

PopStar Interview

Can’t get enough of vampires? That’s exactly what the CW hopes, as they’re launching the latest and greatest bloodsucker saga, The Vampire Diaries, based on the books by L.J. Smith. The show’s leading lady is the lovely and talented Nina Dobrev, a young Canadian actress best known for her days on Degrassi: The Next Generation. She stars as Elena, a pretty and popular teen still smarting from the deaths of her parents when she makes the acquaintance of two vampire brothers, Stefan (Paul Wesley), who’s good, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder), who’s not. PopStar recently spoke with Dobrev by telephone as she headed into work down in Atlanta. The Vampire Diaries — which premieres tonight — will air on Thursdays.

How many girls did you beat out for the role of Elena?
